Nottingham Beach FAQ

  • 150 people at any one time. This provides ample space for our guests to be comfortable, enjoy the deckchairs and pool area.

  • The event is partially accessible, the areas which are not fully accessible include the sand, pool, inflatables and toilets. Some rides are subject to their own specific risk assessments so please speak to security, stewards or the operations team members onsite to understand accessibility. Our team are always on-hand to help and we are undertaking internal audits to make sure we are providing the best service to our guests.

  • Yes! Live music returns to the family beach bar at specific session times. Once published, the schedule can be found on our Facebook page. Click here to see our entertainment schedule.

  • In the beach bar you will be able to take a seat, order via an online app and have your drinks brought you by our friendly team. If you choose to purchase food at any of our street food vendors, you can bring this with you in the seated area.

  • We accept cards at all rides, food stalls, in our beach bar and at the new Giant Slip ‘n Slide attraction (but we recommend you book in advance to avoid disappointment!)

Giant Slip ‘n Slide FAQ

  • The Giant Slip ‘n Slide is the newest ticketed attraction at Nottingham Beach. One ticket gets you an hour’s access to two mega-inflatables:

    1. The Arrow is the largest inflatable urban waterslide in the UK. A 55m long, 10m high, two-lane waterslide where you can race against your friends – brave it if you dare!
    2. Little John is a 22m long, 18m wide waterpark with 6 lanes of slides. Splashing in to an 18m x 10m pool that can also be used for general paddling, Little John is fun for all the family!
  • Yes, our Giant Slip ‘n Slides do have a minimum height restriction. Participants must be at least 1.17 meters tall to enjoy this attraction. This ensures the safety and enjoyment of all our guests.

  • Yes! Please visit www.nottinghambeach.co.uk and follow the ‘Book Now!’ link to purchase tickets for your session.

  • To avoid disappointment we strongly suggest booking in advance. The resident discount is only available in advance, online. NG1 – NG16 postcodes are applicable.

  • Yes! The Beach and paddling pool are still free of charge, whilst the new Giant Slip ‘n Slide attraction tickets can be purchased in advance here.

  • Each session is 1 hour long which includes 10 minutes change over time so you get 50 minutes of slide time.

  • The small splash pool at the end of The Arrow is 0.4m deep.

    The larger pool at the end of Little John is 0.8m deep.

  • Yes, please contact customerservices@mellorsgroup.com. Please note that you must provide evidence of disability to obtain your complimentary companion ticket.

  • 5 years old is the minimum age to go on The Little John and 8 years old is the minimum age to go on The Arrow.

  • Residents discount (must be purchased online, in advance): £10.50

    Non-residents: £12.50

    On the day: £12.50

  • Residents can purchase a discounted ticket of £10.50, saving £2 off the original ticket price. Note: this must be purchased online, in advance of the session.

  • One ticket gains you entry to the attraction site for both slides. The purchase of single slide access is not available.

  • Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. If adults do not wish to go on the slide, they can stand in the viewing area without charge.

  • The Giant Slip ‘n Slide is a gated, ticketed attraction with a specific capacity. This means that any family members wishing to watch can do so from our Beach Bar Area if they do not wish to purchase a ticket, Note: all children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a paying adult inside the attraction area. You cannot purchase a ticket and then leave your child unaccompanied.

  • Unfortunately manufacturer’s guidance states that pregnant people must not use the attraction for safety reasons.

  • Please note that persons with limited mobility may struggle to ascend the stairs of both inflatables. However, the pool area for Little John may be suitable at 0.8m deep with a specific area for paddling. Please consult your doctor prior to attending.

  • Yes a limited number of lockers are available to hire. We recommend not bringing expensive personal items and cannot accept responsibility for these items.

  • Yes a limited number of changing rooms are available. We recommend wearing your beach clothes to avoid changing room queues!

  • We do not sell towels or swimming costumes, however there are a number of shops nearby to cater for this.

  • Re-entry is not permitted.

  • A very limited number of complimentary body boards are available – while stocks last!

    Wetsuits incur a small fee – limited sizes available.

  • Under no circumstances may users attend the Giant Slip ‘n Slide under the influence of alcohol or drugs. You will be refused entry and no refund will be given.
